South Carolina lost its fifth straight, dropping an ugly 65-41 result to Florida in Columbia on Saturday. The Gators crushed the Gamecocks defensively, outrebounding them 46-24 and holding them to 27.8% shooting from the field, and added 10 blocks just for good measure. Frank Booker led South Carolina with 17 points, while Chris Silva added 10. On a tough offensive night for the Gamecocks, the other four starters combined for just nine points.
Tennessee previously beat South Carolina in Columbia, taking a tough 70-63 win that felt like a missed opportunity.
