COLUMBIA — Leonard Fournette’s gesture will result in a six-figure donation toward flood relief efforts in South Carolina.
The auction of the LSU star’s jersey from the USC game was completed Monday, and in the final hours the bidding soared to a final price of $101,000. The bidding opened Saturday at $7,000, for a package that included Fournette’s jersey from the 45-24 victory, and helmets from the game signed by LSU head coach Les Miles and former South Carolina head coach Steve Spurrier, who resigned three days later.
All proceeds from the auction will go to aid flood victims in the Palmetto State, according to LSU.
