Former South Carolina quarterback Connor Shaw was waived by the Chicago Bears on Tuesday to make room for newly acquired wide receiver Victor Cruz, NFL Network reported.
Shaw joined the Cleveland Browns as an undrafted free agent and made one career start as a rookie in 2014, throwing for 177 yards and an interception.
He was claimed off waivers by the Bears in 2016, but was placed on injured reserve after he suffered a broken leg in the preseason. Shaw played in three exhibitions before the injury and was 11-of-16 for 127 yards and two touchdowns.
