The South Carolina Gamecocks received word this morning that Tyrone (Ga.) Sandy Creek wide receiver Korey Banks, who decommitted from North Carolina on Monday, has committed to play for Will Muschamp.
Banks' commitment to the Gamecocks wasn't a surprise after the Tar Heels accepted his decision the other day. All signs were pointing to either Columbia or with Nick Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide, but in the end, it was the Gamecocks who won out for Banks' talents.
Banks, whose father, Korey Sr., was a defensive back at Mississippi State before becoming a star in the CFL, was good for 813 yards and six touchdowns in his senior season.
