Former Gamecock Jair Bolden Finds New Home

Shooting guard Jair Bolden announced his intentions to transfer from South Carolina a little over a week ago. He’s already found his next stop. Jeff Goodman reports that Bolden will be attending Butler University for his final season.

The Brooklyn native played in 30 games this year for coach Frank Martin, including making 15 starts. He averaged 8.5 ppg and added 2.4 rbg. His best performance of the season came in the Gamecocks’ upset of defending national champion Virginia, where he scored 20 points on 8-of-13 shooting. Bolden was the team’s most efficient three-point shooter, converting at a 41% clip.
