HOOVER, Ala. — South Carolina head coach Steve Spurrier refers to it as the “talking season,” and it kicks off in earnest Monday when media from around the SEC converge on this Birmingham suburb for four days of interviews with league coaches, players, and executives.
Indeed, SEC Media Days is again upon us, a sure sign that the season itself is right around the corner. Monday’s opening session of the annual SEC preseason conference comes 53 days before the league’s 2015 football campaign kicks off with South Carolina’s Sept. 3 game against North Carolina in Charlotte.
This year’s Media Days will be different in a few areas, beginning with coverage on SEC Network, which was still under construction at this time a season ago.
