Kobe Smith had South Carolina in his sights shortly after decommitting from the Kentucky Wildcats. He's now found his home with them.
Smith, the #38 DT in the class of 2016, has committed to South Carolina and will enroll on Friday, per a report from Rivals.com's Chris Clark and Woody Wommack. He is the second defensive tackle to pledge to the team, joining four-star Mobile, Alabama standout Darius Whitfield.
Smith played his high school football at Lawrenceville (Ga.) Archer. If the name sounds familiar, it's the same high school that one-time Gamecocks commit Kyle Davis attended.
