South Carolina has rewarded Dawn Staley for her run to the program's first national title by giving the Gamecocks coach a contract extension.
Staley's new deal runs through 2024-25, adds four years to her existing contract and makes her the highest-paid women's basketball coach in the SEC. She will make $1.45 million next season.
South Carolina also gave a one-year extension to men's basketball coach Frank Martin after a Final Four appearance.
"Not only did Frank Martin and Dawn Staley lead their teams to record-setting seasons, but through their leadership, teaching and development of student-athletes, they have established highly successful all-around college basketball programs," athletic director Ray Tanner said in a statement
"I believe that through the core principle of growing the student-athlete experience, Frank and Dawn are set for continued success in their programs for years to come.
