Connor Shaw back on field for Bears, exactly 1 year after injury

Connor Shaw returned to game action Sunday, a year to the day of his serious leg injury.

The Chicago quarterback and Gamecock great played in the Bears’ 19-7 preseason win over Tennessee in Nashville.

“Never felt so good to get hit again. Glory to God!” Shaw tweeted Sunday afternoon.

Shaw was 2-of-3 passing for 23 yards as the third Chicago QB in the game, playing behind Mike Glennon and Mitch Trubisky.

On Aug. 27, 2016, Shaw suffered a broken leg right above the ankle in a preseason game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
