Clemson landed two major recruits over the weekend with commitments from wide receiver Diondre Overton and linebacker Rahshaun Smith.
Overton, a 6-5, 195-pounder from Greensboro, N.C., announced his decision Sunday night during the second quarter of the Semper-Fidelis All American Bowl in Carson, Calif. Overton picked the Tigers over N.C. State. He also strongly considered Tennessee and Nebraska as he went through the process.
Overton went to the Notre Dame and Florida State games at Clemson this season. He also spent two days there in the spring and attended a camp there in June, so Overton has been fully indoctrinated in the ways of Clemson football.
