By necessity, Gamecocks’ offense has become the Zo and Pharoh Show

COLUMBIA — When Pharoh Cooper looks at Lorenzo Nunez, he sees more than South Carolina’s true freshman starting quarterback.

He also sees a little of himself.

“That’s pretty much exactly what I did in high school,” the Gamecocks’ All-SEC receiver said of his days as a dual-threat quarterback. “If I didn’t throw it, I’d tuck it and run.”

Whether it was Cooper in Havelock, N.C., or Nunez in metro Atlanta, both executed the position the same way — roll out, go through one or two progressions, and if no one was open, take off.
