COLUMBIA — Two more assistants are on the road recruiting for new South Carolina head football coach Will Muschamp.
According to social media posts by Gamecocks recruits, former Cleveland Browns offensive assistant Kurt Roper and former USC interim head coach Shawn Elliott are actively recruiting for South Carolina. They join former Auburn assistants Travaris Robinson and Bobby Bentley, who officially became part of Muschamp’s staff earlier this week.
USC has not yet confirmed the hires. Roper, whom Muschamp targeted as his offensive coordinator, was pictured in a photo along with Muschamp and Robinson in the home of Brandon McIlwain, a four-star quarterback from Newtown, Pa.
