#3 South Carolina vs. #2 Texas A&M, Game 3 Recap: Gamecocks Avoid Sweep With 10-7 Win Over Aggies

After less-than-great offensive performances in the first two games of this series, South Carolina's bats woke up on Sunday and the Gamecocks managed to avoid getting swept by Texas A&M.

South Carolina took a 1-0 lead in the second inning on a lead-off homer from Dom Thompson-Williams, but the Aggies answered with three runs in the next inning, thanks to a homer by Hunter Melton. Fortunately, the Gamecocks didn't trail for long, because they regained the lead in the bottom of the inning. Gene Cone walked with one out, Marcus Mooney got plunked in the back, an Alex Destino came through with an RBI single.
