The Gamecocks need to bounce back and play at a high level this weekend in Founders Park
After missing the tournament entirely last season the Gamecocks have returned to form and are hosting a regional for the 5th time in 6 years. Carolina is the #1 seed and will face the 4th-seeded Rhode Island Rams on Friday night in the second game of the Columbia Regional.
The Gamecocks finished the regular season 42-13 (20-9 SEC) and then, in keeping with tradition, went 0-2 in the SEC Tournament to fall to 42-15 overall. That poor showing probably cost the Gamecocks a national seed, but if the Gamecocks want to be successful this weekend they'll have to put that disappointment behind them.
