The Gamecocks were no-hit for more than half of this game and never did find any offense
The first game of the series against Kentucky was fun and good. The same cannot be said of the second game.
The Wildcats took a 3-0 lead in the second inning, courtesy of an RBI single from Dorian Hairston and a two-run double by Kole Cottam.
They tacked on another run in the fifth inning thanks mainly to a few wild pitches by Braden Webb. Another Kentucky run of the night came on a solo homer by Tristan Pompey in the seventh inning, and their final run came courtesy of an error in the eighth inning.
