Gene Cone had himself a night as the Gamecocks stayed undefeated in conference play
Despite not having a ton of offensive output, South Carolina shut down the Rebels on Thursday night to up their winning streak to 11 games.
The Gamecocks were first on the board, taking a 2-0 lead in the first inning. After back-to-back walks for Gene Cone and LT Tolbert, Alex Destino knocked a one-out single to bring in South Carolina's first run of the night. With two outs, Jonah Bride tallied an RBI single of his own.
The third run of the night came in the next inning, when Cone went yard for the first time this year.
