KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. - University of South Alabama women's golf student-athletes Carianne Wright and Madison Connell both carded 3-over par 75s to lead the Jaguars in the second round of the Kiawah Island Classic Monday afternoon.

"Carianne and Madison made adjustments and played well today," head coach Matt Luther said. "We played better as a team, but still have a lot of work to do."

South Alabama fell one spot to 29th, missing the championship cutoff by seven places. Sun Belt member Coastal Carolina (289-295 - 584) climbed from second place to first after recording an 8-over par 295 team score in the second round.
