TEMPE, Ariz. – The University of South Alabama women's tennis team received honors from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association by qualifying as an ITA 2020 All-Academic team, and in addition six student-athletes were recognized for individual ITA achievements.
Seniors Diana Monsalve and Leslie Soto, along with juniors Yu Fujioka, Nikola Kohoutova, Cami Moreno and Milka Pasenen, were among 1,430 Division I women student-athletes that claimed individual recognition.
To qualify as an ITA All-Academic Team, the club must have an average GPA of 3.2 (on a 4.0 scale) or above with all members calculated. South Alabama was one of 244 women's tennis programs to earn the distinction.
