MOBILE, Ala. – After dropping the doubles point, the University of South Alabama women's tennis team bounced back with four straight singles victories to defeat New Orleans 4-3 Friday at the University Tennis Center.
DOUBLES
-Freshman Yu Fujioka (Funabashi, Japan) and junior Alina Zolotareva (Barnaul, Russia) downed Brittany Johnson and Yurina Asai 6-2 on court 2.
-Junior Patricia Martins (Lisbon, Portugal) and freshman Maxine Palmen (Sittard, Netherlands) lost their first doubles match of the season to Trang Dao and Anja Luethi 6-2 at No. 1.
-UNO clinched the doubles point with a 6-4 win from Mar Gendra and Lea Alguacil over junior Alexandria Stiteler (Bradenton, Fla.
