THOMASVILLE, Ga. – The University of South Alabama women's tennis team swept West Alabama and added a doubles win vs. Florida A&M on day two of the Thomasville College Invitational Saturday at the Glen Arven Country Club.
The Jaguars played two singles and one doubles match against each school. Play wraps up tomorrow.
DOUBLES
-Junior Leslie Soto and sophomore Nikola Kohoutova outlasted Georgina Morral and Haina Franco of West Alabama 6-7, 7-5, (10-6)
-Senior Patricia Martins and sophomore Milka Pasanen downed Florida A&M's Haleigh Porter and Aylen Hubeaurt
6-3, 6-4
SINGLES
-Martins lost just five games in a straight-sets win over UWA's Andrea Tomassone, 6-1, 6-4
-Pasanen needed three sets to get past West Alabama's Lilana Araucz 6-2 6-7, (10-2)
-FAMU's Rachel Harden defeated Soto 7-6, 2-6, (10-6)
-Mialiniaina Rakotondrazafy downed Kohoutova 6-2, 4-6, (10-8)
