BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The University of South Alabama women's tennis team wrapped up play at the Samford Fall Round Robin Sunday with four victories in doubles and singles.
The Jaguars faced Memphis in doubles and Tulane in singles.
DOUBLES
- Juniors Yu Fujioka and Nikola Kohoutova, and junior Cami Moreno and sophomore Yurie Takanishi each won their match by a 6-4 score
- Junior Milka Pasanen and senior Leslie Soto lost 7-5
SINGLES
- Four of the six singles matches went three sets
- Fujioka defeated Daniela La Fuente 6-3, 4-6, 6-3
- Soto dropped Lauren Gish in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3
- Mackenzie Clark rallied over Kohoutova 3-6, 6-4, 7-5, as did Adelaide Lavery against Pasanen, 6-7, 6-4, 7-6
- Laura Fabrizi downed Takanishi 6-4, 5-7, 6-3, and Christina Sisti topped freshman Juliette Talieu 6-3, 6-4
