LAFAYETTE, La. – The University of South Alabama's women's basketball team (7-15, 2-9) fell to Louisiana-Lafayette (13-8, 7-5) 62-38 on Thursday night at the Cajundome. The Ragin' Cajuns' Jaylyn Gordon scored 19 of her 29 points in the first half as they lead the Jaguars by double-digits for the nearly the entire time after the first quarter.
"Jaylyn Gordon's three-pointers were falling, and she was also able to get in the paint for pull-up jumpers," said South Alabama head coach Terry Fowler. "She just did a great job at being efficient. She's a tough player to guard.
