STATESBORO, Ga. – The University of South Alabama women's basketball team downed Georgia Southern 69-53 on the road at Hanner Fieldhouse in Statesboro, Ga., Saturday afternoon completing its Georgia Swing with back-to-back wins, and improving to 14-3 on the season.
Savannah Jones hit a three-pointer for the first field-goal of the game and from there, the Jags lead was never in doubt. The Jags connected on ten three-three-pointers for the second game in a row, are now 7-0 on the season when they hit double-digits threes. Jones put up a game-high 17 points, shooting 7-of-16 from the floor.
