MOBILE, Ala. – Antoinette Lewis and Chyna Ellis each collected a double-double, but the University of South Alabama women's basketball team (15-9, 8-5 SBC) fall on the road in overtime to Appalachian State (7-18, 5-9 SBC), 57-56. This ended a 112-game streak without going to over time for the Jags with the last time occurring in the final game of the 2013-14 season against UTA.
After trailing by as much as 15 in the first-half, South Alabama held a three-point lead with 17 ticks remaining in the fourth quarter. LaPresha Stanley hit a three-pointer for App State to tie the game with 11 seconds left.
