WOMEN'S BASKETBALL COMES OUT ON WRONG END AS COASTAL CAROLINA RALLIES IN THE FOURTH

CONWAY, S.C. – The University of South Alabama women's basketball team (15-10, 8-6 SBC) led most of the way, but went cold in the fourth as Coastal Carolina (14-12, 8-7 SBC) went on a 25-0 as the Jags fell on the road, 71-56, on Saturday.

Shaforia Kines led South Alabama with 16 points, one short of her career-high, on a 5-for-13 shooting day and made 3-of-6 three-point attempts. The sophomore had three rebounds, three assists and a pair of steals in the loss.

Genesis Perrymond went 5-of-8 from the field, including 4-of-6 from beyond-the-arc, for 14 points.
