TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama loaded the bases with one out in the bottom of the ninth inning, and Crimson Tide shortstop Jim Jarvis scored the game-winning run on a wild pitch to lift UA to a 5-4 win over the University of South Alabama baseball team Tuesday at Sewell-Thomas Stadium.
Jarvis led off the ninth with a double down the right field line, and moved to third on a groundout to second by Tommy Seidl. The Jaguars intentionally walked Zane Denton and Owen Diodati to load the bases with one out before a wild pitch from Jaguar right-handed reliever Jackson Boyd allowed Jarvis to score the decisive run.
