MONROE, La. – ULM's Michael Ertel set a school record with 11 3-pointers and the Warhawks hit 15 as a team in a 69-49 victory over the University of South Alabama men's basketball team Saturday afternoon at Fant-Ewing Coliseum.
Ertel had 28 points and eight 3s in the first half alone as the Warhawks (6-7, 2-2 Sun Belt) raced out to a 33-12 lead. The Jaguars (8-7, 1-3) used an 8-0 run to get back within 13 with 3:24 left in the first half but a triple from Josh Nicholas seconds before the buzzer sent ULM into the break up 16.
