IRVING, Texas – Two members of the University of South Alabama football program — Chason Milner and Gavin Patterson — were included on the 2019 Hampshire Honor Society list announced by the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame on Wednesday.
It marks the second time in as many years that multiple Jaguars have been honored by the organization after Dominic Esposito and Harrison Louden were recognized last spring. A total of six members of the program have now accomplished the feat, with Jesse Kelley (2015) and Roman Buchanan (2017) the other honorees.
Qualifications for the NFF Hampshire Honor Society include that individuals must be a starter or a significant contributor in their final year of eligibility (or a senior who has declared for the NFL Draft) at an NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision, Football Championship Subdivision, Division II, Division III or an NAIA college or university; record a cumulative grade-point average of 3.
