MOBILE, Ala. – Troy scored five runs in the first three innings and used a quality start from right-hander Levi Thomas to defeat the University of South Alabama baseball team 6-2 Friday at Stanky Field.
Thomas (7-2) allowed one run and scattered eight hits while striking out eight against four walks to earn the win, which snapped South Alabama's home win streak and Sun Belt Conference win streak at eight games.
South Alabama (30-24, 16-13 Sun Belt) will return to action Saturday when it hosts Troy at 3 p.
