HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The South Alabama Track and Field team concluded a successful weekend at the Southern Miss Invitational, securing eight event wins, 30 top-five finishes, and seeing several athletes make their way up the program's record books.
Jackson Laughlin started things off for the Jaguars by winning the javelin with a throw of 64.24 meters (210-09) in the javelin to rank fifth all-time for South Alabama.
Samuel Mika and Iyana Johnson took first place in the hammer throw for the third straight week. Mika hurled a new personal best of 59.
