AUSTIN, Texas – University of South Alabama senior Tiina Trutsi has been named First Team CoSIDA Academic All-America ® for Women's Soccer, the organization announced Thursday.
The Tallinn, Estonia native is the second USA women's soccer student-athlete to earn that achievement, joining Clarissa Hernandez (2013) in the exclusive club, but the first to earn first-team honors.
This season, Trutsi was tied for third on the team in goals (4) and tied for second in points (12). She was 3 for 3 from the penalty spot, and recorded a three-game goal streak.
