South Alabama picked up a key in-state commitment on Sunday from Thompson High School wide receiver Mo Edwards.
Edwards (6-foot-3, 196 pounds) took his official visit to Mobile over the weekend. He announced his commitment via Twitter on Sunday evening:

Edwards is rated a three-star recruit by 247 Sports. He also holds offers from FCS programs such as Jacksonville State, Alabama State and Chattanooga.
Playing for Class 7A power Thompson, Edwards caught 67 passes for 1,118 yards and 12 touchdowns in 2017 from Taulia Tagovailoa, the younger brother of Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.
