At least for the time being, the Sun Belt Conference is enjoying something like stability.
The league will, of its own choosing, lose two members (Idaho and New Mexico State) after the 2017 season, and add Coastal Carolina the following year to stand at 10 teams. The inaugural Sun Belt championship game is also set for 2018, but it's anyone's guess what the college football landscape will look like by then.
Potential Big 12 expansion could have a trickle-down effect on the Sun Belt, with members possibly leaving to join conferences vacated by teams that join the Big 12.
