NEW ORLEANS, La.- South took down New Orleans in a 67-57 final after a strong fourth quarter in which the Jags shot 11-13 from the charity stripe to elevate them to a victory.
Alicia Spann came out firing scoring six of South's first 10 points to elevate the Jags to a 10-2 run to begin the game. The Privateers responded with a 9-4 run to close out the first quarter as South entered the second with a 14-11 lead.
Nadia Howard and Daniela Gonzalez started the second quarter with back-to-back threes to give the Jags a 20-11 lead.
