MOBILE, Ala. – University of South Alabama Assistant Athletic Director of Athletic Academic Services Jason Kelly announced Wednesday the hiring of Summer Stover and Kenneth Johnson as athletic academic counselors, with both filling roles aiding the Jaguar football program.
Stover comes to USA from Marshall, while Johnson was a former student-athlete in the program.
"I am extremely excited to have both Summer and Kenneth joining our staff, they have each hit the ground running and have already began to make a positive impact with our student-athletes," Kelly said. "Summer has brought an outside perspective and experience from working with football student-athletes at another NCAA FBS university while Kenneth — although new to the profession — is bringing with him the same energy and enthusiasm that he had when he was a student-athlete here at South Alabama.
