NEW ORLEANS – After an undefeated week, Alexandria Stiteler was named the Sun Belt Conference Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week Wednesday afternoon.
It is Stiteler's 11th career athlete of the week honor from the conference, the most in school history.
The Bradenton, Fla., native made the most of her limited action, going 1-0 in singles and doubles against Jackson State. She lost just five games total at No. 1 singles, defeating Lucia Solis 6-3, 6-2 to clinch the win, and paired with Nikola Kohoutova at No. 3 doubles for a 6-1 victory.
