State quarterbacks among undrafted players signing with NFL teams

Two quarterbacks with Alabama football roots are among the players heading for NFL rookie minicamps after signing contracts since being bypassed in last week's draft.

After acquiring 253 players via the 82nd NFL Draft on Thursday through Saturday, teams have added more than that as undrafted rookies, including Jacksonville State quarterback Eli Jenkins and Southern Miss quarterback Nick Mullens.

Signed by the Los Angeles Chargers, Jenkins played at A.H. Parker High School in Birmingham.

Signed by the San Francisco 49ers, Mullens played at Spain Park High School in Hoover.

As a senior, Mullens completed 243-of-384 passes for 3,272 yards with 24 touchdowns and 11 interceptions in 11 games.
