FOLEY, Ala.- South's season came to a close on Monday afternoon after a 2-1 loss to Coastal Carolina in the Sun Belt Quarterfinals.
The Chanticleers started the game quickly with an early goal in the fifth minute to take the 1-0 advantage. The Jags would make several opportunities to score but would struggle to convert. Coastal would convert on another opportunity in the 23rd minute as the Chanticleers took the 2-0 lead. South continued to battle as they entered the half behind 2-0.
Bonnie Frost breathed life into South in the 57th minute as she headed in a beautiful corner by Irene Campo to bring South back in to the game, trailing 2-1.
