South Alabama's first home baseball game in two weeks was highly forgettable.
Southeastern Louisiana pounded out 14 hits against five Jaguars pitchers and took advantage of seven walks and three errors on the way to a 12-4 victory at Stanky Field on Tuesday night. South Alabama heads into their Sun Belt Conference opener at Georgia Southern on Friday with a 9-8 record.
"We got outplayed tonight," South Alabama coach Mark Calvi said. "We got outpitched, we got off to a bad start, and we got outplayed.
"You can't walk four or five and make an error and expect to beat a good team like Southeastern Louisiana.
