JONESBORO, Ark. - The University of South Alabama women's basketball team fell 58-69 on Thursday night to Arkansas State at the First National Bank Arena in Jonesboro, Ark., snapping a five game win streak in Sun Belt play.
Arkansas State used a 10-0 scoring run late in the second to expand their lead to 12 heading into halftime. The Jaguars fought back and cut the Red Wolves lead in half heading into the fourth, and Jayla Morrow connected on a three early in the quarter to put the Jags down by just three. Arkansas State, however, was not fazed and quickly regained control of the ballgame, pulling out the 11-point win without much of a doubt.
