BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- The South Alabama women's tennis team competed well across the weekend in the Samford Invitational in which they faced several quality opponents.
Day One
In the opening round, South picked up a pair of doubles wins with Lara van der Merwe and Manal Ennaciri followed up by Delien Kleinhans and Rio Maeda to defeat Samford. In the singles matches, Ennaciri, Maeda, and Tchanichev each picked up wins against UAB.
Day Two
In the second round of action, South garnered another pair of doubles victories with Chems Doha Zeghlouli and Jade Marie as well as Kleinhans and Maeda against Memphis.
