MOBILE, Ala.- South Alabama fell to Louisiana at home Thursday afternoon in a 76-50 final.
Both sides traded baskets in the early going, as a Princess Okafor Nweze bucket helped make the score 6-5 in the visitors' favor. The Jags found many offensive opportunities but struggled to convert, as the visitors closed the quarter on a 13-4 run.
The Jaguars shooting struggles continued as the visitors extended their lead to as much as 22. Chrysta Narcisse helped put a dent in the lead as the freshman connected on back-to-back threes to give South some momentum.
