MOBILE, Ala.- The South Alabama women's basketball team downed ULM at the Mitchell Center Saturday afternoon in a 73-68 victory that snapped their 12-game losing streak and improved their record to 5-18 on the season.
The first quarter was all South as the Jaguars got off to a fast start. A layup from Rachel Leggett and a three-pointer from Amyria Walker pushed South Alabama ahead 16-5 in the early going. South maintained control for the remainder of the quarter as they entered into the second quarter up 21-12.
