STARKVILLE, Miss.- The South Alabama soccer team came up just short in a tough 1-0 loss at Mississippi State.
The opening minutes proved to be a defensive showdown between both sides. The Jags found several opportunities offensively due to their stellar defensive performance. The hosts would find multiple scoring opportunities in the first half but struggled to convert thanks to an incredible performance in goal from Allison Luckhardt. South would continue their strong defensive play heading into the half with neither team finding the goal.
The second half would prove to be more of the same as South's defense slowed down the Bulldogs.
