Box Score MURFREESBORO, Tenn.- The South Alabama soccer team would close out non-conference play with a thrilling 4-3 victory over Middle Tennessee State.
South would get off on the right foot as an Irene Campo corner kick bounced off a defender to give South the early 1-0 advantage. The Jags defense was strong throughout the first half, controlling the pace and not allowing the hosts to get many offensive opportunities. In the 17th minute, Monique Gray would net a shifty goal to give the Jags the 2-0 lead and add a boost of momentum to the Jags as they entered the half with the lead.
