To say Sam Harris has a different skill set than many of his fellow South Alabama wide receivers is putting it mildly.
At 5-foot-7, Harris is easily the shortest player at his position for the Jaguars in fall camp, and at 180 pounds is among the lightest. He doesn't have the height to be a target on jump balls in the red zone, nor the blazing speed to stretch the field on go routes.
What Harris does have, however, is experience. He also possesses sure hands and good enough speed and quickness along with the necessary football acumen to find soft spots in coverage as a slot receiver.
