South Alabama safety Jeremy Reaves has been named the Sun Belt Conference Co-Defensive Player of the Week, sharing the honor with Arkansas State defensive end Ja'Von Rolland-Jones.
Reaves, a senior from Pensacola, totaled eight tackles and was responsible for two turnovers in the Jaguars' 33-23 victory over Louisiana-Monroe last Saturday. Reaves returned a fumble 92 yards to set up a touchdown in the first quarter and also had an interception in the fourth quarter.
Rolland-Jones totaled 2.5 sacks, 3.5 tackles for loss, five tackles and a forced fumble in Arkansas State's 47-3 win over Louisiana-Lafayette. Arkansas State quarterback Justice Hansen and Appalachian State quarterback Taylor Lamb shared Offensive Player of the Week honors, while Coastal Carolina kicker Evan Rabon was named Special Teams Player of the Week.
