South Alabama tight end Gerald Everett missed Thursday's Reese's Senior Bowl practice with a hip injury, game officials confirmed.
Everett is being evaluated for a possible hip pointer, according to Senior Bowl officials. His status for Saturday's game is yet to be determined.
The 6-foot-3, 227-pound Everett has turned heads in Mobile this week with his skills as a pass-catcher and after the catch. He's projected as anywhere from a first- to third-round pick in April's NFL draft.
The 2017 Reese's Senior Bowl kicks off at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Ladd-Peebles Stadium. The game will be broadcast live by NFL Network.
