Former South Alabama tight end Braedon Bowman signed with the New Orleans Saints over the weekend.
Bowman, 23, appeared in three games with the New York Jets last season before suffering a season-ending knee injury. He signed as an undrafted free agent in April 2016 with the Jacksonville Jaguars, but was cut after training camp.
In addition to Bowman, the Saints also signed defensive back Malik Foreman, wide receiver Xavier Rush, defensive end Jason Jones and defensive lineman John Hughes.
"Periodically, we'll bring in a large group of players to work out, and we're early enough in camp to see these guys," Saints coach Sean Payton said, via The Advocate.
