SOUTH ALABAMA’S BATOON IS CANDIDATE FOR 2021 BROYLES AWARD

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Nominees for the 2021 Broyles Award were announced by the Frank & Barbara Broyles Foundation on Monday, with the University of South Alabama's Corey Batoon included among the candidates for the honor presented to the top assistant coach in college football.

The Jaguars' first-year defensive coordinator and safeties coach was one of 59 nominees selected from a pool of approximately 1,270 NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision assistant coaches across the country. A 43-member selection committee of distinguished former head coaches, broadcasters, and a committee representing the Football Writers Association of America will select 15 semifinalists and five finalists from the list of nominees and an overall winner.
